About Me

From the time he could hold a pencil, Rod Graybill knew that drawing was made for him. Once he found the power and impact in visual creation, Graybill later channeled that passion and talent into a career that continues to inspire him and give him purpose.

When the opportunity to learn tattooing came along, it was a natural progression from pencil and paper to skin and ink. Rod’s fascination with detail and precision, rooted in fine art, illustration, and draftsmanship, expanded into a biomechanical style that reimagines how tattoo art can define the body.

From charcoal drawings of everyday life to bold color portraits of cultural figures like Alan Watts, The Notorious B.I.G. and Jimi Hendrix, Rod has developed tools across different media that are all identifiable by his distinct technique. His range is an exploration of reality and beyond that spectrum.

Drawing from the tradition of artists Alphonse Mucha and John Singer Sargent, as well as modern masters of tattoo like Guy Aitchison and Aaron Cain, Graybill has created a signature style that stands out among the crowded field of Lancaster artists.
